About Me

Hi, I’m Katia Baker.

Styled by THRIFTCRAFT started with a simple refusal: I didn’t want to buy new fabric to make something beautiful. Every piece I make begins with material that already lived a life — reclaimed, thrifted, rescued from the pile — and gets rebuilt into something oversized, ruffled, and a little whimsical. Nothing gets wasted. Nothing gets remade the same way twice.

The aesthetic is Harajuku at heart — playful, layered, a little maximalist — but built with the intention of couture: every seam considered, every silhouette one-of-one. I call it costumeware, because I want getting dressed to feel like putting on a character, not just an outfit.

That’s why every drop is small on purpose. Ten pieces a month, each one built by hand, each one sold exactly once. When it’s gone, it’s gone — there’s no reprint, no restock, no second run. That scarcity isn’t a marketing trick, it’s just the truth of working with reclaimed fabric: there’s only so much of any one thing.

Thank you for being here, and for caring about where your clothes come from as much as what they look like.
