Care Guide

Caring for Your Kaosu Piece

Every piece is hand-built from reclaimed fabric that already lived a life before it got to you — a little extra care keeps it going for a lot longer.

1

Turn it inside out

Every Kaosu piece is built from reclaimed fabric, lace, and trim — turning it inside out before washing protects prints, appliqué, and delicate seams from friction in the wash.

2

Debris or stains on the outside?

Turn it right-side out instead, just for that wash, so the outside actually gets cleaned against the drum. Otherwise, inside out is always the default.

3

Wash on Delicates

A gentle cycle with a gentle spin. These pieces weren't built for a heavy-duty wash — Delicates keeps the reclaimed fabric and trims intact.

4

Cold water only

Set your washer to Tap Cold or Cold, no exceptions. It protects color and keeps everything from shrinking.

5

Tumble dry, low heat

Select Low or Delicates on your dryer. Low, gentle heat all the way through.

No bleach, ever.

It will strip the reclaimed fabric’s color and finish — there’s no fixing it once that happens.
